Aili Salinas Koski- Kahler
Aili was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Her and her parents returned to Finland, (their homeland) when she was only 3 years old. She was raised in Finland and came to America at age 24, as a single young lady. She had three daughters, whom she raised, as a single mom. Her first girls, were twins. Martha Ann and Linda Lee ( Linda perceded her in death.) Martha and mom had lived together for most of mom's latter years.
Aili had married Newell Barr Kahler,. who also proceded her in death. They were divorced but remained on good terms.
Mom was ambitious and generous. She had several businesses and she was successful . She started her own dress shop in Manhattan Beach, Cal. and also had an alterations shop in Montecito, Cal.
Aili lived in Ogden , Utah at the time of her death. Special thanks to her care-givers at Aspen Care Center and to Hospice Blessings to you !
Aili was a Senior Companion for many years and had a great love for being a "mover and a shaker " for the folks that were on her list .
She is survived by her two daughters, Martha Ann Money and Susan Flint. She had one son-in -law, Michael Flint and three grandchildren, Lindy Rose Saunders, . William Newell Flint, and Kay Noel Flint.
No memorial service is planned but family and friends will meet at the home of her daughter, Martha, on Jan. 4th ( Sunday ) to remember mom.
As per mom's wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be placed next to her daughters, Linda, in Santa Barbara , Cal.
