Alice L Anderson

April 10, 1944 — January 26, 2021

Alice Leona Guffey Anderson passed away January 26, 2021 at her home.   She was born April 10, 1944 in Salt Lake City Utah,  the daughter of William and Josephine Freeman Guffey .

She married E.G (Garry) Anderson on May 2, 1962  They had four children:  Jesse James, Jackie (Jimmy Surrage), Billy B and Edward (Andy) Garry Jr.  They also adopted Wes and Vicky Kahlandt as their own. She had 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several more that always called her grandma.  She is also survived by one sister Sharen (Kevin) Swenson.

 She was a volunteer art teacher at North Davis Senior Center for 20 years.  She loved to do crafts, crochet, embroidery, card making, painting and water coloring.  In her younger years she was an aid at a rest home, and a teacher’s aid for disabled children in the Granite school district.  Gary and Alice also had their own business for 45 years, E.G. Anderson’s  Appliance.

Alice loved raising Boston Terrier dogs, they were the love of her life.  Every puppy was the “cutest one.”  

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters:  Margie, Fern, Jean and 2 brothers, Jerry, Lee Roy; as well as her son, Andy.   

Graveside service will be held February 12, 2021 at 11 am at Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 North Fairfield R, Layton, Utah 84041.
