Andrew “Andy” John Gutierrez

  Our loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, passed away in his home on Monday, April 25, 2016 surrounded by his family.

  Andy was born in Ogden, Utah to Alfredo “Bob” Gutierrez and Anita Sanchez on October 11, 1956.  He met, then married the love of his life, Vicki Archuleta on April 13, 1974, and to this union they were blessed with four daughters. His family was his everything. 

  He was one of a kind! The life of any party. He loved his music, and was ALWAYS DANCING. He loved doing yard work, playing horseshoes, cooking his specialty pancakes Sunday mornings after church. His greatest joy above all else was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He liked the Utah Jazz, Cincinnati Reds, and was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan.

  He received his G.E.D and High School Diploma at a later age in life which he was very proud of. His whole life he worked in the furniture moving business, where he gained many more "Brothers" till this day. 

  Andy is survived by his wife, Vicki of 42 years; daughters, Daphne (Shane), Chasity (Anthony), Jerrica and Jaimie (Jordan).  He is also survived by and was blessed to have two fathers, Bob (Gloria) Gutierrez and Jerry Orosco; siblings, Carmen (Vic) Valdez, Lawrence (Joyce) Gutierrez, Carlos “Chuck” Gutierrez and Lena (Johnny) Orosco; 10 grandchildren, Victor, Angel Jr., Ashley, Andee, Ruben, Aniesia, Jordan Jr., Unique, Zachary and Jayden and 6 great-grandchildren; Adrina, Victor Jr., Analily, Vincent, William and Joseph Jr.; Extended brothers and sisters, Paul (Julie), Charles (Cindy), George and Tim Archuleta, Tami(John) Martinez, and Anthony (Nancy) Ledesma; Son in law, Jose Luis Coria; Step brother and sisters, Jerry, Liz and Anna Marie; Godchildren, Tracie Archuleta, Sharon Martinez and Lil Andee Flores; uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and many ‘friends.’

  Andy is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Sanchez Orosco;  Father and Mother in law, Tony and Sharon Ledesma; Brother, Ralph Gutierrez; Brother in law, Ruben Orosco; Nephews, Julio Sosa and Mauro "Jr" Soto. Niece, Leticia Gutierrez; Godson, Matthew Martinez and best friend, Billy Rendon.

  His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 12 pm at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24thStreet, Ogden, Utah.  Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest  Memorial Park.

  In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been set up at America First Credit Union under Andrew J. Gutierrez
