Ann Clarke Kap

Ann Clarke Kap passed away at home, Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Ogden, UT. She was born June 2, 1949, in Ogden, UT. Ann was born to Raymond Eli Arave and Edna Buchanan. Ann was very proud of her family heritage and loved her family very, very much.

She married Ross Gordon Kap on Dec. 16, 1972 in Sunset, UT. They spent many years together in Phoenix, AZ. After Ross' passing in August of 2011, Ann relocated to Ogden, UT.

Ann enjoyed collecting, playing Xbox with her son and grandkids, following the Utah Jazz, Arizona Cardinals, and gardening. Later in life, she found great satisfaction in and was a dedicated Manager for HR Block.

She loved to take the family on picnics in Weber Canyon. Ann enjoyed shopping and dining out with her family, especially with her daughter, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. She was an avid movie collector and had an eclectic taste in music. She drove countless miles supporting her son as he trained for long-distance races. One of her fondest memories was the family trip to Boston to watch him run.

She is survived by her son, Paul (Eliana) Ellis; daughter, Jennifer Kap; eight grandchildren; brother Ned and Sallye Clarke, Layton, UT; sisters, Pat Raymond, Roy, UT, and Sharon and Rulon Booth, Surprise, AZ.

Her husband, parents, and three sisters preceded Ann in death.

As per Ann's wishes, a private celebration of Ann's life will be held at a later date.
