Ann Christine "Chris" Orrell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on September 3, 2024, at age 76.
She was born to George and Bonnie Stone on October 14, 1947. After graduating from Ben Lomond High School, Chris met the love of her life, Edward "Ed" Orrell outside a Navy Recruiters office. He joined the Navy, and she joined him as a best friend and wife for almost 60 years of adventures. Together, they had 2 sons: Charles and Robert. Chris retired from serving the public, working at the IRS and later Hill AFB.
Chris loved her boys, spending many years supporting them and cheering them on at many baseball games and bowling tournaments. You could always find her watching a baseball game cheering on her Cubbies, doing crossword puzzles, or reading a book. She had a green thumb and could get any plant to grow and thrive. She could crochet anything, and many have snuggled up in a blanket she made us.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Ed; her sons, Chuck (Carrie) and Bob (Kathryn); 3 grandchildren: Kyle (Avalon), Alison (Elizabeth), and Makenzie; and a great-grandson, Elijah.
While we are heartbroken, we know we will see her again. It's not goodbye, it’s just goodbye for now.
