Anna Mary Nice Brechbill, 95 years, 2 months & 8 days young was born in Filer ID to Mennonite pioneers, Edith Brackbill Nice & Henry G. Nice. She was the oldest of 7 children, Hazel & Pauline still living; Clifford, Helen, Elvin & Herman, all deceased. Graduating in 1934, she traveled & worked in OR, CA and OH as a housekeeper, nurse, matron at a Mennonite orphanage & in a sewing factory. In 1950 she met and married Elvin Morley Brechbill. They had 4 children,Stephanie (Wayne), Elvina (John), William (Sharon) & David (Michelle, diceased). After living in Twin Falls, Nampa, Aberdeen & Blackfoot ID, the family moved to Roy, UT in 1964. Moving to Ogden in 1964 Mary operated 2 motels, The Boulevard Lodge & The Stanley Motel; she also owned Boulevard Rentals. After the death of her husband in 1985, Mary started a career as a caregiver for the elderly & disabled, retiring in 1998. Mary enjoyed family events & attending Washington Heights Baptist Church. Proud grandmother of 14 & great grandmother of 17. Family & friends are invited to a Memorial gathering, Monday, March 14th, 5-630 pm at Washington Heights Baptist Church in South Ogden. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family appreciated.
