April Rae Alexander, 60, passed away January 9, 2023. It is believed it was caused from her long battle with COPD. Despite the lack of oxygen in her lungs, she could talk your ears off on any given day and do it with the Alexander “oh so contagious” laugh.
This tribute is for a great woman, Mother, friend, and bad ass lady. Born on April 21, 1962, in Ogden, Utah to Roy Edward Alexander and Marcia Rae (Fodnes) Stephens. April lived her life to the beat of her own drum, and we all loved her. She fought her fight longer than anyone could imagine. Stubborn and strong willed she was.
April at a young age was world-renowned for her adventurous personality, presenting you a challenge with every word or action that came from her. Never holding back, her demands were high, and she always got what she wanted. The family is extremely grateful for her son Mason who at a young age always cared for his mother doing all he could as a child and a young adult. Mason and her best friend and little brother Brent cared for her always especially in her last days where they laughed a lot with her and at her throughout that ending journey. What an amazing relationship they had. It was a grand site to watch. Family would also like to thank Aprils longtime friends Rob and Karen Surles for always cooking meals and helping April with whatever needed to be done.
She will be missed by those of us survived and surely is greeted with open arms by those who proceeded her. They loved and cared so deeply for her, and we imagine the reunions are spectacular. April leaves the greatest impression on us. We are so blessed and grateful for her life.
She leaves behind her son Mason Ray Jonas, brother Brent R. Alexander (Rita), sister Kimberly Olson (Don) and brother Bill Brandewie (Terisa), many nephews and nieces plus a hell of a lot of unforgettable memories.
She was preceded in death by her loving Father- Roy (Yvonne) Alexander, Mother- Marica (Brent) Stephens, and Sister Vicky Brandewie, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and friends.
