Arlene S Haws

April 13, 1933 — January 12, 2013

Arlene S. Haws joined her eternal partner on Jan. 12, 2013. She was born to Audrey Helen Smith & Odell Manfred Smith on April 13, 1933. Arlene was born at the family home in Amalga, Utah in Cache County. She was married to Varnell E. Haws on Nov. 15, 1950 in the Logan Temple. Together they had 6 children: KayeDawn, Deborah, Alan, Ron, Lorrie and Devin. Arlene was happiest taking care of her husband and family. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and spoiling her children; 29-grand, 56-great grandchildren and 1-great great grandson. She was very talented and artistic, sharing her talents in the floral arrangements from her beautiful flower garden. She loved music and played the piano beautifully. Arlene loved the gospel and lived it every day. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions. She enjoyed working in the temple with her partner Varnell and looked forward faithfully and cheerfully to the blessings of her life. Arlene gracefully faced the challenges presented to her by the Liver Disease and Cancer that took her life. We will miss her dearly but gain peace knowing that she is reunited with those who have gone before her. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11 am at the Plain City LDS Chapel, 2280 N 3600 W, Plain City, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening, January 18, 2013, from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday, from 9:45 to 10:45 am at the church. Interment Ben Lomond Cemetery.
