Aurdell Liptrot

July 30, 1923 — January 13, 2015

Aurdell Lundgreen Liptrot, 91, of Ogden, Utah passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2015 at the Lotus Park Assisted Living Center surrounded by her friends and family.

Aurdell was born on July 30, 1923 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Clynord and Mabel Lundgreen.  She attended Lincoln Elementary, Mount Fort Jr. High and Ogden High School where she graduated in the class of 1941.

Aurdell worked at the Ogden Arsenal during WWII and after worked at L.R. Samuels as a cashier, seller and as a beautiful fashion model.  She then worked at IRS where she retired.  She has remained close to her IRS family throughout the years with luncheons and annual trips to Bear Lake.

Aurdell was married to Oswald R Liptrot in Elko, Nevada in 1947 and had two sons Gary Robinson Liptrot and Steven Oswald Liptrot.

Aurdell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Branch at Lotus Park Assisted Living Center.  She enjoyed skiing and playing golf.  Later in life she loved attending her families sports activities.  She loved to drive her bright orange ’73 VW convertible bug that everyone recognized around town.

Aurdell was preceded in death by her husband Oswald, and son Steven O. Liptrot, parents Clynord and Mabel and brother Max Lundgreen.

Aurdell is survived by son Gary (Marilyn) Liptrot, sister Deanne (Ron) East, brother Clynord Jr (Nancy) Lundgreen, sister-in-law Ruth Lundgreen and  daughter-in-law Carol Liptrot.  She has 9 grandchildren, Charlene (Mark) Christensen, Steven J. (Darcie) Liptrot, Daniel (Teri) Liptrot, Janeice (Bryan) Skeen, Jessica (Jake) DeBoer, Jodi (Jack) Olsen, Jill (Sheldon) Hunt, Jackie Dillard and Taylor Liptrot.  She also has 16 great grandchildren.

Services – Funeral will be at 11 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the LDS Rock Cliff 3rd Ward Building, 237 Porter Avenue in Ogden.  Inurnment to follow at Ogden City Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour before the funeral.

A special thank you from Aurdell’s family to the Intermountain Hospice and to the staff of the Lotus Park Assisted Living Center.  Proof that angels do dwell on earth.
