Avery Barbieri Perkins

March 7, 1922 — August 2, 2013

Avery Barbieri Perkins rejoined her eternal companion Arthur on 2 August 2013. Her life began as a child of Alma and Vittorio Barbieri, on 3 July 1922 in Tabiona, Utah. She met her companion Arthur and they were married in Orem, Utah in 1936, and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for sixty-three years before Arthur's passing. She attended school in Duchesne, Utah and continued her schooling throughout her life until she became a dedicated nurse, working nearly 40 years. Throughout her life she was an example to her family as an avid reader--always having a good book in her hand. She loved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many church assignments and working in genealogy. The crowning service of her life was a mission with Arthur in Cherry Creek, South Dakota to the Cheyenne Indians. She was a wonderful, artistic homemaker and her handiwork can be found in the homes of her loved ones and friends. Her apple pie was legendary. She was the loving mother of six children. She is survived by her children, Bill (Barbara) Perkins, Bob Perkins, Virginia (Paul) Dean, Vic (Georgia) Perkins, Judy (Dave) Tannehill, Michael (Marilyn) Perkins, and two sisters and a brother. She was blessed with many wonderful grandchildren, including five grand and great-grand children who are currently serving missions. Friends and family may call Wednesday 7 August at the LDS chapel at 2300 W. 550 N., WestPoint, Utah for a viewing held at 10:00 A.M., followed by the funeral at 11:00 A.M. Our heartfelt thanks go to Avery's friends and caregivers at the Family Tree in West Point, Utah.
