Her favorite song came on and she took her last breath. Barbara Krell, 69, left us to "go to the place that's the best", on Thursday May 25th, 2023. She was born in Mitchell, South Dakota to her loving parents Sylvester (Red) and Blanche Krell (both deceased). She was a wonderful sister to David (deceased) and her surviving sister, Judy (Tom) Kuske of Monte Vista, Colorado. She is survived by her eternal companion Michelle Heller of Ogden, her best friend and daughter Christine (Adam) Soderborg of Riverdale and her bestest friend and grandson, Atticus. Barb was very proud of her two surviving nephews, Ron Kuske (Candace and daughter Quinn) of Maryland and Dan Kuske of Denver, Colorado. Not to be forgotten, she is also survived by her second father, Delbert Heller of Effort, PA.
A US Army veteran, she served during the Vietnam War. Retired from the federal workforce, she truly enjoyed her magnificent co-workers. Her love of life and family was expressed through her scrapbooks, photo albums, music and all the hours of time she spent archiving her family's history. A huge sports enthusiast, she was enamored with the Minnesota Vikings, Villanova Wildcats, the winter and summer Olympics, and watching her grandson play baseball and soccer.
Her family will be forever indebted to the cares she received through Ogden Clinic Hematology/ Oncology, McKay Dee Hospital, especially the House Supervisors, the ER, the Medical floor, the Palliative care team, Intermountain Home Care and Hospice. Thanks to Mark of Aaron's Mortuary for his compassionate gesture on the last day we saw her.
Per Barbara's wish, there will be no service. Please take an active role in the lives of those you love.
"Oh he'll recommend you to the spirit in the sky
That's where you're gonna go when you die (when you die)
When you die and they lay you to rest
You're gonna go to the place that's the best"
