Beatrice L. Damian
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Beatrice L. Damian, 75, passed away peacefully early morning on February 25, 2015 at Landmark Hospital in Salt Lake City surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 18,1940 in McPhee CO, daughter to Filimon and Sarah Lemos. She was raised in Grants, NM and in 1966 moved to Ogden, Utah with her parents. She retired in 1992 from Crestwood Care Center.
Despite struggling with health issues these past years, she stayed positive, kept her sense of humor and never lost faith in God and love for her family and anybody who came into her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family; she was the rock of our family. She loved dancing, playing poker and her all-time favorite Yahtzee. Her favorite thing to eat is Cheez-its and canât forget her Pepsi.
She had a great support system; children who refused to send her to a nursing home and were honored to take care of her 24/7 as she took care of them until she took her last breath here on earth.
Beatrice was a Breast Cancer Survivor for 26 years. She also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her youngest sister, Sarah (Eloy) Chavez and five children: Sarah (Salvador) Espinoza, Carmen Damian, Polly Lemos, Diego (Cathy) Chavez, and Rebecca (Tony) Ortega of Elko, NV. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Azriya Delaleah Damian; also many nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Balthazar, Filimon, Manuel, Tony, Clifford; sister, Rose and three nephews.
Holy Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church March 6 2015 at 12:30 pm; Mass will be held shortly after at 1 pm followed by inurnment at Ogden City Cemetery.
