My mom, Bianca passed away June 16, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Huttlingen, Switzerland on September 13,1942. She came to America to be a nanny. When she came to America it was only going to be for a short period of time but she ended up falling in love with this beautiful country. When her time being a nanny was done, she decided to stay longer so she could travel. She ended up meeting Mike (Eddy), the love of her life and the rest is history. Together they had one child, Christine.
My mom worked as a nurse for a rheumatologist Dr. Vonk. She loved being a nurse and she lived to help others. She loved children and everywhere she went she would always try to make kids laugh. She was the nicest person you could meet. She would give you the shirt off her back or all the money in her pocket just to see you smile.
My mom lived for her family. If you knew me or her grandchildren, you knew her. She was at every event cheering us on. She was our biggest cheerleader and supporter. She was so proud of her little family.
To know my mom is to love her.
Mom is survived by her loving husband Mike (Eddy), her daughter Christine and her 3 grandchildren Niko, Grace and Gabi.
We would like to thank all the amazing staff at McKay Dee ICU who did everything they could to help my mom and who also did everything they could to help us prepare to say goodbye.
Mom,
Saying goodbye has been the hardest thing I have ever done. I miss you more than you will ever know. You are not only my mom but my best friend. You taught me about unconditional love. All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to you. You were the best mom and grandma ever. You are my hero. I love you so very much. I know this goodbye is not forever and I can’t wait until I see you again.
Love always,
Christine
