Billie Mattos

OGDEN-Billie Mattos, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2011, from natural causes. She was born on February 20, 1920 to Earle Robinson and Sybil Halverson in Oakland, California. She graduated from Castlemont High School in 1938. Billie married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Mattos, on April 25, 1940. They were married for fifty-three years until his death in 1993. She was a retail clerk for many years in California until her retirement. After her husband's death she moved to Ogden, Utah to be with her daughter Patricia Crosslin. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister, her husband, and her beloved great-granddaughter, Ashley Stuart. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia, and her grandchildren Ed (Jan) Crosslin, Vicki (Dwight) Meredith, Toni (Larry) Cottrell, and Kirsten Stuart. Billie has five surviving grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Evan, Amber, Weston, Connor, and Damon. A special thank you to the staff at Wasatch Care Center for the loving care they provided. Thank you, too, Hearts for Hospice for attending to Billie during her last days. Arrangements are under the direction of Aarons Mortuary & Crematory.
