Our Big Boy Buck is one of the proudest accomplishments in our lives! Buck came into this world on May 27, 1989. He grew into a big man at 6’ 4” and he had a heart to match. When Buck walked into a room everyone noticed his tall - big kind presence, it could not go unnoticed.
Buck was good at everything he tried or did. Operating heavy equipment came natural to him. Not only could he operate, he could fix and figure out anything. Buck was a Macgyver! He had a CDL drivers license, and NO load was too big. D9 dozers or large crushing equipment. His latest project was a Sand & Gravel Company. Bedrock Sand & Gravel in Willard, Utah.
Buck loved working and spending time at our Hideout Ranch. Building roads, installing water systems, hunting, skiing, and riding dirt bikes & side by sides. He was an excellent snowmobile rider. You name it, He did it! Not only did it but did it well.
Buck lived in the Ogden area all of his life and graduated from Weber High School in North Ogden and completed several construction management courses.
Buck met the love of his life, and is one of ours, Lauren Cassity, 15 years ago. Love of his life, partner in crime, best friend. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Reese. His greatest accomplishment. Reese is 3 years old and very smart and adorable. She is such a joy! Reese knows the name of every piece of equipment from trackhoes, water trucks, dozers, dump trucks to sidedumps etc… Her favorite is the Snow Cat!!
Buck absolutely loved spending time with our family and vacationing together. Buck traveled the world with us. Playing together. Doing life together. He was always asking. “Where is our next adventure? Where are we going?”
After all his accomplishments and as much as we need him here, Buck moved to Heaven on February 28, 2025, where we know he is with his brother, Gus; Uncle John; Grandma & Grandpa Butters; and many others. Surviving, his mother, Becky Lynne Butters and father, Kent E Butters; partner, Lauren Cassity; and daughter, Reese Riley Butters; Grandparents, Nellie Mae Schwitzer and Robert John Schwitzer.
As for us, still here on Earth, Buck is so missed. He will always be in our hearts and minds. We will keep his legacy alive.
Buck, Thank You for sharing your life with us. We love you so much!!! ~Mom & Dad
