Carin Louise Winter
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carin Louise Winter on her birthday, August 30, 2015, at the age of 55. Carin was born in 1960 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah to Creighton and Carolyn Owen of Layton, Utah.
Carin was a kind-hearted person who always wanted the best for those around her. She was a loving mother to her two sons, and took so much joy watching them grow from children to adults, but her greatest moments in life came from the time she spent with her five grandchildren.
Carin loved nature, especially in the fall when she could see the changing of the leaves. She was also an avid animal lover, and would often rescue animals that needed medical help, or just a loving home. Carin always believed there was good in everyone if you just gave them a chance, and would make friends wherever she went. She was loved by many, and will truly be missed by all of those who welcomed her into their lives.
Carin was preceded in death by her father, Creighton Owen; brother, Michael Owen; and nephew, Nicholas Owen. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Owen; brothers, Phillip (Bonnie) Owen, Dennis (Janae) Owen, Kevin (Mary) Owen, and sister, Lisa (Mike) Osiek; her two sons, Melvin âBoâ Winter, and Michael (Darlene) Winter; and five grandchildren, Hope, Caleb, Lilly-Anne, Amy, and Tyler.
A celebration for her life will be held at Heritage Park, 1000 West 1300 North, Clinton, Utah, on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please write a happy memory of Carin that her children and grandchildren can have to cherish throughout the years.
âGo rest high on that mountain. Your work on earth is done.â We will never forget you, Mom. We love you!
