Carol G Powell

 Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother,  Carol G. Powell, passed away on July 22, 2016 at the age of 85.  Carol was born August 28, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Earl and Dorothy Fuller. Her family moved to South Bend, Indiana where she grew up and graduated from high school.

 Carol moved to Ogden, Utah several years later where she continued to  live and raise her two children (Jimmy Powell and Joan Merrill) as a single mother.  Carol had many close friends with whom she shared her love of bridge with.

 Carol worked at the Internal Revenue Service and retired in 1990 with 23 years of service, allowing her to spend more time with her only granddaughter Stephanie Kinsey.   In 1999 she met Lee Howe and they spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2006.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and only son.  Surviving are daughter, Joan Marie Merrill of Ogden, Utah; granddaughter,  Stephanie Marie (Wayne) Kinsey;  great-grandchildren, Tatum Grace Kinsey and Greyson Merrill Kinsey of Layton, Utah; and one sister , Frances Wagner of South Bend, Indiana. 

Carol will be laid to rest next to her parents in South Bend, Indiana.
