Caroljean Hanson passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, after a prolonged illness. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Henry C. and Leone M. Hanson; she lived most of her life in Layton, Utah.
She graduated from the University of Utah and later joined the staff of the University of Utah Marriott Library where she worked for many years. During her lifetime she contributed her time and many talents to human rights, literacy and animal welfare programs.
Caroljean requested that no memorial service be held. Any who wish to honor her memory are asked to make a donation in her name to the Best Friends Animal Society.
