Carolyn Anna Jacobsen

August 4, 1939 – January 31, 2016

Carolyn Anna Jacobsen passed away January 31, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s.  She was born August 4, 1939 to Grace C. and Nondus Nicholes. 

She graduated from Cypress High School in 1956.  She married Robert D. Jacobsen June 29, 1956 and moved to the Clearfield-Sunset area where they had three beautiful children.

She enjoyed doing needlepoint, reading, camping and above all spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed traveling; every where she went she would bump into someone she knew.  She also kept  herself busy with volunteer work where she met and helped a lot of people.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Jr) Lujan of Layton, Ron (Barbara) Jacobsen of Winnemucca, NV, Steven (Denise) Jacobsen of Clinton.  She is also survived by her three brothers, Kay, Jay and Jim.  She has five grandkids and five great-grandkids whom she loved very much.

 She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

We would like to give a special thanks to Hospice for the care they have given her this past year.

A Friends and Family Gathering to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm  to at Aaron’s Mortuary in Clearfield, 1050 S State Street.
