Carroll Ann Vincent

January 3, 1952 — August 26, 2024

On August 26, 2024, our “Goddess” Carroll Vincent left this earthly realm with her “cup half full.” She was surrounded by some of her biggest fans but had time to say goodbye to her entire stadium. She was shown so much love her last 48 hours while she was still awake to take it all in. She was acknowledged by her loved ones that had already moved on to make her transition full of love and peace. I couldn't imagine a more peaceful way to go.

Carroll made her appearance on January 3, 1952, and eventually found herself in the loving arms of George and Ethel Bryant, in Orange County, California. They relocated to Utah in the late 50's. At that time, with 4 siblings, that later grew to 8. There were 9 children in all, and her being one of the oldest, she had a hand in raising them all. And from what they say, she didn't take that job lightly and was not easy on them.

She married the love of her life Gene Vincent Sr. in August of 1969, and they welcomed their first son, Gene Vincent Jr. in December of that same year. In July of 1971, they welcomed their second son, Mitch Vincent. And with that, their little family was complete. She reveled in being a Mom and the boys have so many memories with both of their parents. Their divorce was felt by everyone, and she never married again.

Carroll was definitely a force to be reckoned with...her spitfire attitude made her who she was. But if you were lucky enough to be loved by this amazing woman, you were held so close to her heart, and it was an amazing feeling. She didn't let a day go by without saying “Good morning sunshine,” to whoever was there when she woke up. And these last few years, her “bestie” Linda Harshbarger was that person. Her last few years she had moved in with her son Gene and his wife Stephanie and her granddaughters Destiney and Tessla and great granddaughter Jupiter. All she needed was her daily hugs and she was always trying to find the perfect gift that would put a smile on someone’s face. Her love language was simple, acts of kindness kept her cup half full and she wants everyone to know that if you can remember that you'll always be okay.

She had so many stories about her younger days... working as a flagger for a construction company was so fulfilling to her. And no matter how long she had you in her grasp, there wasn't a dull moment. You would leave with a sore belly from laughing so hard! She held her son Mitch so close to her heart and would do anything for him. Her sister Cheryl (Bug) and her had a very special bond and they would face time for hours. Even if they just sat in silence, as long as they knew the other one was right there, they were OK. Doreen (Weenie) also held a very special place in her heart, and we are so happy she got those last moments to tell her that. Sharon and Bobby, JR and Tim were also very close friends, that helped her through one of the hardest times of her life. She felt safe with all of these people and asked that we let them know how much they meant to her. The bonds she built with each and every person are so special. I promise that every niece, nephew, sister, brother, cousin, grandchild, and etc. has a special thing they she shared only with them. It would be so nice at her celebration of life, to hear all these stories. So, we are going to follow her wishes and have an awesome celebration of Carroll's life on October 5, 2024, from 12pm-8pm at 3400 West 2100 South, Salt Lake City, UT.

She has requested that everyone wears white and dances to her favorite music. She made me promise that we would CELEBRATE her and not mourn her, for she is at home and at peace. She wants everyone to “howl at the moon” and always remember that your cup is always half full.

Her favorite things were her chocolate, she called it her pleasure spot..lol and her sparkle time. If you know, you know. She left this world happy, knowing she was VERY loved! Thank you to everyone who came to the hospital to witness her wake up to tell everyone goodbye. Her amazing brother Rick, and friend David Weddell for setting up her blessing. And Sandra Wilde for helping those last few moments. Tessla, you made her feel so beautiful and didn't leave her side. You are all angels.

She was preceded in death by Grandma & Grandpa Farnsworth. Her parents, George and Jean Bryant. Her sisters Shirley and Christina. Her brothers Kent, Randy, and Mark. And her infant twin grand babies (Mitch's) She is survived by her brothers Rick (Kathy) Bryant and Michael (Susan) Bryant. Her sister Cheryl Cano (Bug). Her sons Gene (Stephanie) Vincent and Mitch Vincent. Her granddaughters Destiney, Tessla, and Tayla. Her grandson Cody. And her great granddaughter Jupiter. And so many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

We can't wait to hear all of the stories... you won't want to miss it!
