Charlene Joy Lucuse Thornton

March 30, 1932 – December 9, 2017

Charlene Joy Lecuse Thornton passed away from natural causes at the age of 85 on December 9, 2017 in Twin Falls, Idaho.  She was born March 30, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to James Lecuse and Blanche Farley.

Charlene was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden City Schools.  She married Jay R. Thornton on May 29, 1949.  Charlene had five wonderful children.  She was a house wife and raised her children.  In 1973 Jay and Charlene moved to Wells, Nevada and bought the "Welcome Campground" and later sold the campground.  They then built an Antique Store in Wells and dealt in antiques the rest of their days.

Charlene is survived by her daughters, Susan Smith and Jean (Robert) Supp; son, Dan (Jennifer) Thornton; granddaughters: Rebecca (Luis) Soto; Jennifer (Jon) Henry, and Kierstyn Howard; sister, Irene Davis; brother, Alan Anderson; and brother-in-law, Neil (Carolyn) Thornton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay R. Thornton; her parents and two daughters, Rebecca and Debra.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date and time.
