Charlie S Gallegos
Our beloved Dad, Grandpa and Brother passed peacefully to eternal glory on Friday, June 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born in Del Norte, Colorado to Delfino “Dallas” and Lillie Gallegos on May 10, 1945. He was educated in Ogden City Schools and served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a recipient of the Utah Cold War Victory Medal and Certificate of Appreciation. Charlie worked in several occupations and retired from truck driving. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Charlie married Linda Williams on February 29, 1964, they later divorced but remained the very best of friends. Charlie and Linda had three children: Terry, Jesse and Samantha.
Dad was a pool shark and competed in billiards tournaments. He was a talented guitarist, loved country music and performed with a number of bands including The Country Squires which included his daughter and son when they were teens. As his health declined and his mobility was limited, he missed playing his guitar and socializing with his many friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving partner, Leslie Mizar; great-grandson, Dallas Martinez and siblings: Sally and Jose Jaramillo, Arthur and Annie Gallegos, Ruby Mata, Vicentita Perez, Margie Gomez, Dallas Freddie Gallegos and several other beloved family members.
