CHARLES ALVIN HARSIN

JUNE 3, 1935 – MAY 1, 2016

Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather (Pa), Great-Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend passed away on May 1, 2016, in Ogden, Utah, at the age of 80.

Charles was born in Blunt, South Dakota, to Henry Lewis and Myrtle Estelle Harsin on June 3, 1935.

Charles married Della Roman on February 7, 1960. To this union there are three daughters and one son. They were later divorced. He married Cookie Talbot on May 27, 1976. To this union is one son.

While living in South Dakota, Charles was employed as a truck driver for various distributors.

Charles moved his family to Utah in 1962 where he went to work as a Cook for Maddox Ranch House in Perry. Later he went to work or CME/Peavey/Cereal Food Processing Elevators where he worked until he retired after 38 years.

Charles is survived by his wife, Cookie; daughters, Debra (Ralph) Harline, Lynne (Robert) Quick, Bobbi Jean (Ted) Giguere; son, John Robert (Melody) Burden and son, Charles S. Harsin. He is also survived by a brother, Cecil (Linda) Harsin, of Burke, South Dakota and sister, Marjorie (Herb deceased) Worl of Honeyville, Utah; and 15 Grandchildren, 11 Great- Grandchildren and one Great-Great Granddaughter;  many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly and also many foster children that will never forget his kindness and love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Calvin Harsin, and brother-in-law Herb Worl.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hemmersmeier and Dr. Almony; Brighton Hospice, especially Sunny and Angie; the doctors and nurses at McKay Dee Hospital and the staff at the South Ogden Post Acute for their loving care of Daddy.

Funeral Services will be held at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah, on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11 am. There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Mortuary and also visitations from 9:30 until 10:30 am for family and friends at the Mortuary prior to the services.

Charles will be laid to rest at the West Haven Cemetery at 1550 South 2350 West in West Haven following the services.
