Charles A. Ridenour, Jr. died in the early hours of March 15, 2017 at his home.  He was born February 7, 1959 in Salt Lake City.  He moved to Ogden in the fall of that year with his parents: father, Charles A. Ridenour, Sr. and mother, Geraldine Jarrett Ridenour.

He grew up and attended Ogden City schools graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1977.

Shortly after graduation, he met and married Laurie Smith in 1978.  They raised four children:  Charles III, James Courtney, Daniel Edward, and Aubrey Sue.  They divorced in 2005.  His four children have given him 11 grandchildren with number 12 on the way.

Chuck held various jobs, including the supply department of Thiokol Chemical Corporation, also as an employee for the Union Pacific Railroad staring in the Spring of 1997.  He later studied and qualified as a train engineer, spending six years in Las Vegas, Nevada, in that position.  He moved back to Ogden, continuing as an engineer.

In his teen-age and later years, his interests have been his favorite music and collecting and rebuilding old automobiles and trucks.

 Chuck  met and fell in love with Vivian Bailey.  They married in April 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; his children and grandchildren; his parents; his brother, Michael (Grace, ID.); his sister, Melanie (Hyde Park, UT); Leslie (Syracuse, UT) and Patricia (Ogden, UT).

A viewing and greeting for family and friends will be on March 22, 2017 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Dedication and interment will follow at 1 pm  at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd, Ogden, UT.
