Charles Lester Stanfield

Charles Lester Stanfield passed away August 26, 2014.  He was born June 21, 1931 in Linn County Missouri, a son of John Everett and Margaret Ella Collins Stanfield.  He attended school in Maraceline, Missouri and graduated from Marceline High School in 1949. 

He married  Shirly F. Jones of Price, Utah but later divorced.

Charles was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping with the family.  He also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Ogden area singles clubs.  For 40 years he was a volunteer at Clearfield Heritage Senior Center in the Meals on Wheels program. 

Charles was employed  by the D&RGW Railroad and at Hill Air Force base in The Aircraft and Missile Divisions retiring in 1982.

He is survived by a significant companion, Carol Moss;  a son,  David and daughters,  Peggy and Penny and their families;   also, a sister.     

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11 am at the Clearfield Community Church, 200 S 500 E, Clearfield, Utah.  A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 am  prior to services at the church.  Interment Clearfield City Cemetery.
