Chester Kay Bodell was born July 26, 1944 to James Chester Bodell and Laurine
Lee in Panaca, Lincoln County, Nevada and passed away June 21, 2023 in Uintah,
Weber County, Utah after a short fight with cancer. Chester lived in Panaca,
Nevada until 1958, when his father passed away (1956) and his mother remarried
and moved the family to California. He lived in California most of his life. In 2019,
he moved with his wife, Marilee to Uintah, Utah to be closer to his son Jeffery and
his family.
Chester was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and
loved his callings. He and his wife, Marilee were sealed in the Los Angeles,
California temple on September 9, 1994. Chester has been blind since he was
twenty seven years old but dealt with it as best he could. He loved his Church
family and all they did to help him.
While he lived in California, he went to a school for the blind and learned to do
woodworking. All of his family received something he made which they have
cherished for many years. Chester’s health has been declining over the years and
on June 13, 2023 he was told he had cancer and he said at that time, he just
wanted to go home with Marilee and pass away peacefully, which he did in just
eight days time.

brother Mahlon (Donna), his brother Marion(Irene), his sister Rhea(Ray) ,and his
brother-in-law, Richard Dalton. He is survived by his wife Marilee, of thirty-two
