Christine Frances Fischhaber (Sebald), born February 17, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edwin August Fischhaber and Marilyn Jean (Kaufmann) Fischhaber who both preceded her in death, passed away at home July 24, 2014 of natural causes in Clearfield, Utah at the age of 60.
She was raised and attended school in Frankenmuth, Michigan. She was married to Randy Sebald and they moved to Utah with the United States Air Force and later divorced.
She is survived by their six children, April Pickard, Linda Sebald, Randy Furman Sebald, Yavanna Lee (Jack Brawner) Kidman, Sammantha (Jared) Packer, and Sally Furman. Christine was the grandmother to eight children who loved their nana and with another due August 2014. She is also survived by her three sisters, Carol (Karl Smith) Fischhaber, Cynthia Culver Fonseca, and Catherine (Kevin) Campbell.
Chris was an avid reader, especially of science fiction and also enjoyed being outside. She had a special love for animals and always had a houseful. Her love of horses was always part of her life. From a young teenager begging a mounted police officer to ride his horse until he finally gave in, to working with show horses and finally being able to have her own. But most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will always be loved and deeply missed.
Do not cry for me, I am free
Do not be sad for me, I am at peace
Think of me young and happy with the warmth of the
sun in a cool breeze riding a gentle horse home.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Christine Frances Fischhaber Memorial Fund at America First Credit Union.
