OGDEN - Christine C. Giles, 72, passed away peacefully due to illness on May 8, 2016.  She was born on July 27, 1943 to her loving parents Porter Allen Carter and Sarah Lorinda Eddington in Coalville, Utah. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jay Smith; second husband, Max David Giles; brother, sister, granddaughter, and nephews.  She is survived by her two daughters, Katherina Smith, 49; with her husband, Paul Solano and Carol Smith, 39.  She was blessed with ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three step-children with their children.

She worked at Wonder Bread in Ogden, Utah for 25 years and moved onto other types of work. She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh and feel comfortable around her.  She will deeply missed by her family and friends.  May she rest in eternal peace.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St.
