Christine Porter passed away from cardiac arrest in her home. She was accidently born In Rock Springs, Wyoming while her parents were visiting there. She was born as the third child to Harry K. and Frances E. Porter.
Her childhood years were spent in Sunset, Utah where she attended Doxey Elementary, Sunset Junior High, and Clearfield High School where she graduated. She also attended Stevens Henager where she graduated.
She is survived by her son, Mario Porter- Jemenez; her father and stepmother Harry and Perline Porter; brothers, Kevin Alan Porter and Edward Dean Porter; step-brothers, Don Mattson, Brandon (Natalie) Mattson, Forrest Hicks; and step-sisters, April Hicks and Kari (Filemon ) Martinez. She was married to Mario Jemenez and Scott Thompson from whom she divorced.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Porter; sister, Deborah Porter; nephew, Matt Porter; and both sets of grandparents .
She was a Christian and lived true to her beliefs. She alone steadfastly taught these beliefs to Mario and was rewarded with a fine adult son. She valiantly fought many illness from an early life until finally losing the battle. She worked hard all her life at many jobs and spent 15 years at CITI until she was forced to take disability. She was confined to a wheel chair in her final days but still had a positive attitude about life and welcomed each new day.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 28, 2014 at 11 am at Aarons Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden Utah. Inurnment at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park.
