Christopher David Carpenter, born on March 14, 1977, in Logan, Utah, to David D. Carpenter and Julie F. Carpenter, passed away on April 17, 2025, at his home. He is survived by his partner, Amy Bokinskie, and his sons, Kevin Carpenter, Brayden Stauffer, and Taysen Stauffer. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Sophie and Jade, his parents, David and Julie Carpenter, his sister, Jessica Brooks (Jeff), his grandmother, Pat Carpenter, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chris graduated from Washington High School in 1995 and went on to complete basic training to become a Marine at Camp Pendleton in the same year. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Tuttle; his grandparents, Dean and Florence Freeman and Duane Carpenter; his uncles, Michael Carpenter and Scott Freeman.

Growing up, Chris enjoyed camping and was a member of the Greater Ogden Swim Club. He was known for his introspective nature and kind heart. He found joy in technology and tinkering, enjoying the creation and building of items such as computers and impressive Mega speakers for his jeep, as well as dabbling in soap-making. His interests extended to science fiction and fantasy, with a fondness for works like “The Wizard of Earthsea”, “Ender’s Game”, Asimov’s writings, and Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower”.

Animals held a special place in Chris’s heart; he was particularly fond of cats and cared for guinea pigs. He also maintained aquariums with various fish over the years. A curious spirit, he often engaged in dumpster diving, exploring items others had discarded. His love for unique interests, such as an appreciation for mayonnaise and a passion for meat and cheese, reflected his individuality.

A memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at noon at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to assist with burial expenses.
