Cindy Fasig Lowder
Cindy Fasig Lowder passed away on January 16, 2023, following complications from surgery. She was born April 11, 1972, to Paul and Jeri Fasig. She was the youngest of six children. Cindy graduated from Saint Joseph Catholic High School in 1990. When Cindy was 19, she met the man who would change her world, Jeff Lowder. They met at “The Boot” dancing at the Utah State Fair Park. On March 19, 1993, Jeff married Cindy. She was the rock that they built their family on. From this union Ty, Jacob, and Colby sparked the flame that lit the light in her eye.
Life with the Lowders was filled with love, laughter, and many adventures. A generation of children know how to bake because Adoring Aunt Cindy baked EVERY Sunday with her littles. Her plate of life was never empty.
She fought as fiercely as she loved, always getting the last word. She never met a stranger. Her house was lived in and filled with memories. Her door was always open for anyone to walk through.
According to her boys, not only was she THEIR mother, but to so many, their friends, and the students at school. She would give advice whether you needed it or not. She’d promise you the world…and her family delivered. When volunteers were needed, if you couldn’t find anyone, Cindy (accompanied by her boys and Jeff) got it done.
She loved being involved. She supported EVERYONE even if it didn’t involve her children. She was very giving, selfless, and caring to everyone she came in contact with.
Cindy loved going to concerts. She was George Strait’s Biggest Fan. She got a tissue from George Strait at one of his concerts. She loved drunken arts and crafts. She loved all outdoor activities, camping, fishing, and off-roading.
A life filled with service and serving others, especially children. She was a woman of great presence to the Catholic community. Cindy wrapped her arms around the community and made it warmer, friendlier, and more comfortable. For so many years, she was present as a Booster, an alumnus, a conduit to the future with student ambassadors, a spiritual counselor, a retreat leader, a caregiver to Saint Joseph High School facilities, she was a life-long member of Saint Mary Catholic Parish, CCD teacher, and Eucharistic Minister among so many things.
She received a multitude of service awards including Raising the Standard, Javier Chavez Humanitarian, and the Father Neale Herrlich.
According to the Saint Joseph High School administration “she is the Embodiment of Saint Joseph in a person.”
Cindy created families within work, school, church and really anywhere she went.
She was employed with the IRS for 30 years specializing in Human Resources.
Cindy is survived by her husband Jeff, sons Ty, Jacob, and Colby. Her siblings Paul, Don, Mary, and Sue and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Bob.
