Clara Jean Jones, 81 born to Cornelius and Dorothy Whittaker on April 14, 1941, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving grandchildren and her daughters on May 14, 2022.
She retired from her many secular talents from breaking the color barrier to become the first black real estate agent in the region, switchboard operator supervisor, clothing line buyer to product representative. Clara never met a stranger and opened her heart and her home to everyone.
She was preceded in death by the sheer love of her life, her husband of 38 years, Nolan T. Jones, Jr, her daughters, Nolanda R Bennett, Nolaine R Otremba and her only son Nolan (Rocky) C Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Nolette King of Missouri and Noelle Jones of Arizona and her 2 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 1 great grandson. She leaves behind many family member who’s love brought her as much joy and comfort as her firm faith in God and the resurrection hope.
Clara requested that there be no formal services held but condolences may be shared at Aarons Mortuary.
