Colleen Peterson Roper

Colleen Peterson Roper, of South Ogden, Utah, passed away Saturday morning July 19, 2014 at the age of 83 surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren

Colleen was born and raised in Grace, Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart, Orson Roper, they were married in the Logan Temple and were together for 59 years before Orson passed away in 2009.

She is survived by her three children, Marsha Roper Byrne, Lynette Roper Kirkpatrick and K. Paul Roper

Colleen has 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grand children, all who love her very, very much.

Colleen spent a life time of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many callings and loving everyone that she came in contact with.  To know her was to love her.

We want to thank the IHC hospice service for helping our family through the final few days of her life.  The family would also like to express special heartfelt thanks to Neva Peterson for her never ending, loving care she rendered Mom over the past 2 years.

Sammy, her cat, has been her constant companion the past few years and Colleen adored him.

Colleen is survived by two sisters and one brother.

Preceded in death are her parents, two brothers and her husband.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah 84401. A viewing will be held from 9 am to 1045 am prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
