Cindy Montoya-Cole, 66, returned to the angels unexpectedly on December 21, 2024. Cindy was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Flossie and Alex Montoya. The family moved to Clearfield, Utah when Cindy was a young child.
Cindy had various jobs throughout her adult life and did everything she could to make sure her kids were well taken care of. She worked hard to provide for them and ensured that they were endlessly loved. She worked for Walmart for several years and made many friends there until she retired in 2020.
Cindy enjoyed baking, and her kitchen was a haven of warmth, love, and delicious meals that brought people together. Cindy also enjoyed gardening and loved being in her ever-growing gnome garden. Cindy loved playing cards, even though she didn't have a great poker face. Most of all, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family. Cindy made everyone feel welcome in her home. Cindy will be remembered mostly for her infectious smile and laugh.
Cindy is survived by the love of her life, George Riedel. She is also survived by her mother, Flossie; her sisters, Jolanda Montoya and Anita Montoya-Sharpe; brother, Bob Sharpe; children: Lana, Crystal, and Cody Cole; grandchildren: Quintin, Maria, Kaden, Alex, Tabitha, Zach, Alexander, Azaria, and Alayeha. Cindy's family takes great comfort in knowing that she's now reunited with her dad, Alex Montoya.
You can rest now, Cindy.
