DaLane W. Olson passed away peacefully on May 16, 2017 at her home in Roy, Utah.
DaLane was born April 14, 1950 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Earl Weatherston and Ruth Flinders Harmon. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She grew up travelling to many different destinations with her favorite places being the Azore Islands and Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Roy High in 1968 and worked a variety of jobs but found the most enjoyment in driving school bus.
She married Ronald L. Butcher. They had two children: Brandiann (Butcher) Rogers and James E. Butcher. They later divorced.
She then married Jack E. Olson on November 13, 1992.
DaLane is survived by her husband; her two children; her step-daughter Sue (Jerome) Sabol; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Martin (Christy) Riddel, Mickey (Karen) Riddel, Buddy (Barbara) Riddel, Jean (Gary) Barker, Carol Umphlett, sister-in-law Gail Weatherston, her step father Jim Harmon and her step mother Peg Weatherston.
She is preceded in death by her mom, dad, and brother Jaren Weatherston.
There are also several special friends she loved dearly and always spoke fondly of.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah. Viewings will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.
