Dale Osborn Jackman 1945-2016
The last breath of air you release is the soul bird flying away. From Shaman to Shaman please
make for me a smooth and sweet arrival for us all. Our dear Dale, let his soul bird fly on Dec 18,
2016. He left behind his beautiful, loving wife, Cathy; his children: Jeff Corbett (Danielle), Brynn
Shipp (Rowland), Colby Watchorn, and Jodey Watchorn; Grandchildren: Ryker, Raquel, and
Ayden; along with many other family members and friends.
Waiting to embrace Dale, are his parents, his brothers Dee and David, and his beloved son
Michael.
Dale was born on May 21, 1945 to Daniel Wells Jackman & Dixie Brown Jackman. On, Sept.
24th, 1988, Dale married the love of his life, Cathy. They enjoyed 28 years together, always
caring for one another, side by side for whatever life threw at them. He grew up loving to hunt,
fish, camp, and play cards. Sharing those things with his family and friends was his favorite
pass time. He and Cathy had a great sense of adventure including many spontaneous trips.
They made unforgettable memories to share with us all.
A loving, faithful husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend, Dale possessed a sharp wit,
and loved to banter and crack jokes. He had a charm that drew you in and made you want to be
near him. Children especially loved to be around “Silly Uncle Dale.”
A dedicated employee, he worked for Meadow Gold Dairy for 21 years. In 1989, he went to
work for Sysco Intermountain as a Sales Associate. After working hard for 23 years, Dale
retired, having won many awards, including Top Salesman.
He had a passion for luxury sports cars, good food, and gambling. Being big hearted, Dale
would always say how he would care for his family and friends should he ever have the winning
lottery ticket.
Services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St.
in Ogden where friends may visit from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Following the
service, grave site dedication will be at Ogden City Cemetery.
May his memory be eternal.
