Daniel Orlando Lopez

December 7, 1963 — January 19, 2023

Ogden

Daniel Orlando Lopez, 59, was called home to his loving Lord and Parents unexpectedly on January 19th, 2023. He was born in Ogden, Utah on December 7th, 1963, to Daniel B and Dorothy Q Lopez. He Graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1982 and joined the Army Reserves where he served until 1988. That same year, he and Denise welcomed a son, Justin.

A man who loved his family fiercely, he was loud and proud of every single one of his three children, six grandkids, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Raiders biggest fan, everyone around him knew that the Raiders were going to win, even when they didn’t. His many Raiders vehicles, decorations, handmade gifts, and opinions will be greatly missed.

He married Rebekah in 1994, and although later divorced, they remained great friends until the very end. Together they had two Children, Brycn and his baby girl Kalie.

Dan had a passion for the food and hospitality industry and held many administrative positions. A great leader, manager, and co-worker, those who worked with him knew it was a better day with him there. He had a passion for business, and about a million business plans and ideas he wanted to work on. He also loved anything with wheels, especially once he “Raidered them out”. His interest in vehicles led him to Tom Wood’s where he raved about building custom drive shafts for all types of vehicles until his passing. Dan had a massive personality, and if you were around him, he was definitely making you laugh. His silliness and unique sayings will live in our memories forever. He was a man of great faith and his love for the Lord was undoubtedly strong.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, Daniel Beno Lopez and Dorothy Frances Quintana Lopez, nephew Ruben Jr Villalobos, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by siblings Rohn (Becky) Thomas, Stella (Ruben) Villalobos, James (Maricela) Lopez, children Justin (Tifany) Arbogast, Brycn (Serah) Lopez, Kalie (Jacob) Parish, and grandchildren Skyeli, Okalynn Rae, Kyler, Jayden Daniel, Hensley, and Ellie. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his best friend, Echo.

A memorial service and gathering will be held Tuesday, January 31st, from 6-8 PM at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401. Graveside service held Wednesday on February 1st at 11 am at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 State St, Clearfield, UT 84015. A luncheon is planned, with details at graveside service.
