Daniel Wayne Perry was born on September 30, 1958 to Gerald and Patricia Perry. The Lord called him home on July 8, 2019.

A skilled craftsman, Dan was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed hiking, camping, Mountain Dew, and chocolate chip cookies. He was a lifelong learner and liked researching a myriad of subjects. He valued and was a seeker of truth.

Dan married Shirley Medina on April 7, 1978. Together they brought into this world three amazing children who have blessed them with 12 grandchildren. They have also been blessed with seven great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren on the way. His family was his God given joy.

Dan’s life was not without challenges; but his challenges became stories of perseverance, of overcoming, stories of triumph. A Christian, his faith saw him through these challenges. During his illness he was tenderly and meticulously cared for by his wife and other family members. His and his family’s hallmark trait was and is love. He cherished spending time with family and he had a special place in his heart for each and every grandchild and great-grandchild. He was a father and papa (grandpa) to more than his biological family.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by his wife, Shirley; his children, Chantyl (Preston) Prieto, Anthony Perry, and Brandon Perry; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Deb (Don) Criswell; and many other family members and pets. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Everyone is invited to wear yellow to the services as it was his favorite color.
