David Robert Andrews

March 31, 1986 — September 3, 2024

David Robert Andrews, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the age of 38 after a long battle with mental illness.

David was born on March 31, 1986, in Tucson, Arizona. David had a brilliant mind and excelled in art, music, and math. David’s love for music began when he was young. He first learned to play the clarinet in elementary school and later played the drums, piano, violin, banjo, and guitar. In high school, he was a drummer in the marching band. David was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School in 2004.

David’s love for music continued throughout his life. He taught himself how to tune and restore pianos. David resided most of his life in Tucson, Arizona. He moved to Syracuse, Utah, in September 2023. He enjoyed living close to his sister, brother-in-law, nephews, and niece. We have some great memories of him being in Utah; hiking, fishing, and going to Lagoon together. David will be dearly missed by his family.

David is survived by his parents, Larry and Deborah (Howard) Andrews; sister, Melissa (Kelly) Walker; grandmother, Vera Howard; Aunt Cathy (Joe) Wilson; nephews, Jacob and Daniel; niece, Emma; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phyillis (Burtis) & Robert Koohns; grandfather, Donald Howard; uncles, Mark Howard and Dallas Andrews.

Thank you to everyone who has shown love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Syracuse Bluff Chapel, 2500 South Bluff Road, Syracuse, Utah 84075; lunch will follow services.
