David William Davis

David W. Davis of North Ogden, Utah passed away on September 27, 2018 of congestive heart failure.

Born in Lubbock, Texas on April 9, 1947 to Royce Norwood and Ruth (Brown) Davis. As the youngest of three children, he lived in Lubbock and Yuma, AZ, before moving to California in 1958, and then to Utah in 1978.

Dave graduated in 1966 from Santiago High School in Garden Grove, CA. He married his high school sweetheart Chathie J. Fellows on August 24, 1968. They were married for 45 years until she passed away in August 2013. He would later marry Judy Lafeen in April 2016.

Entering the Air Force in September 1966, he proudly served 12 years working on the famed SR 71 Blackbird as a jet engine mechanic. He then spent 36 years at Parker Hannifin working as a grinder, lathe operator and NDT inspector before retiring to drive truck to see the county.

Having a love for old tri-five Chevy cars and trucks, he spent most of his summers at car shows with family and friends. He was given the nickname “duck” as he would waddle as he walked. He also enjoyed going on many cruises and outings with friends, loved spending time with his grandkids, and of course never missed his afternoon nap.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Evelyn Davis and his wife Chathie J. Davis. He is survived by his wife Judy; and his 3 children, daughter Heather (Todd) Werth of Las Vegas, NV; Andrew (Michelle) Davis of Glendale, AZ, and Carrie Nielsen of North Ogden, UT with his first wife Chathie. He is also survived by his sister Dee Duggin of Carson City, NV, brother Royce (Mary) of Huber Heights, OH., and 5 grandchildren; Ethan, Blake ,Londyn, Ellie, and Wyatt.

Friends may call on Friday October 12th from 6-8 at 250 W. Elberta Dr, Pleasant View, UT. Graveside services will be held Saturday October 13th at 11 am at the North Ogden Cemetery.
