David C. O'Brien

OGDEN a€" David C. O'Brien passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. He was born May 28, 1931 in Northolm, Minnesota.

In 1974 Dave met Patricia Gardiner, and was her companion until his death.

Dave played a major role in raising Pat's five boys and was Grandpa Dave to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dave was a jack of all trades; and had many very diverse careers throughout his life, one being a merchant marine which gave him an immense fondness of the sea.

He is survived by Patricia Gardiner, Don (Heidi) Hoaglin, Ken (Karen) Hoaglin, Bob (Joni) Hoaglin, and Scott (Michele) Hoaglin, and twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren

Dave was preceded in death by Mark Hoaglin.

At Dave's request no services will be held. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held in his honor at a later date.

Cremation is under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary.
