Dean Jerold Sorensen

Dean Jerold Sorensen 93, was called home February 13, 2014. He was born to Olof J. Sorensen and Dena Nay on March 21, 1920.

He married his sweetheart, Henrietta June Baker February 4, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They just celebrated their 71st anniversary. They had 4 children Jerry Sorensen, Janean Bowthorpe, Elaine Galloway and Judy Manget (deceased). They have 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Dean was a sweet humble soul, loved by everyone he met. He was most known for his integrity, honesty and service to others. Dean had many accomplishments. He was the owner of Sorensen's Mercantile, a taxi company and an alcohol-free Honky-Tonk with dancing and food in Mt Pleasant, Utah. Later in life he worked at a deaf and blind school and owned an upholstery shop in Clearfield. But his favorite occupation was serving as custodian for the Weber Heights Stake Center for 17 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2014, at 2 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, February 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm and Monday, from 1 to 1:45 pm prior to services at the mortuary. Interment Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Utah.
