Dennis Michael Grill

Dennis Michael Grill passed away February 11, 2018 at the age of 59 after an extended illness. He was born July 4, 1958 to Beverly Owen and Thomas R. Grill in Ogden, UT. He attended Weber High School. In 1979 he married Kathy Cleveland and during the marriage his beautiful daughter Tara was born; they later divorced.

Dennis enjoyed time spent making memories with his loved ones, especially his sweetheart Wendy. Over the years he had worked at Jetway, Thiokol, Ogden Marriott, Deer Valley Premier Resorts and did security as well as licensed in Federal Firearms in which he had his own private body guard company Interceptor Elite. His passions included martial arts, music, Indian culture and his guns. His personality always kept up smiles and laughter amongst everyone he was with. A natural jokester and well known for his quick wit, charm and sarcasm.

He endured many struggles in this life along with medical issues and was very proud of his 33 year path of recovery in A.A./N.A. and the warrior he became from it. He spent much of his time sponsoring and mentoring those who needed someone strong to lean on and confide in for their own recovery. Many looked up to him due to the unforgettable impact he made on them and their lives in which he developed many forever friends. He will be missed dearly.

He is proceded in death by his loving mother, Beverly Owen Buttars.

He is survived by his best friend and sweetheart, Wendy Dokos; Daughter, Tara; Father, Thomas R. Grill; Siblings, Sheri (Dale) Voisard, John (Marty) Grill; Nephews, Michael (Andrina) Voisard, Jordan (Mikala) Grill; Nieces, Michelle Elder, Rochelle Grill; 3 grandchildren; 3 great nieces and  great- nephew.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Huntsman Cancer Institute, McKay Dee Hospital and especially to his amazing angel Wendy for taking such special care of him.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Alano Club 684 24th St. Ogden, UT 84401 on Feb. 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations can be made to any America First Credit Union under Dennis Grill, Acct # 9099912.
