Diana Maria Garcia Gil

Our beloved Mother passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023.  Dianna Garcia Gil was born in Ogden, Utah on April 23, 1949 to Richard and Mary Garcia.  She was the oldest of five siblings.  She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  She treated everyone as though they were a member of her family.  She spent most of her time creating gift baskets that she would make by hand for any occasion or holiday.  She loved to dance the night away for as long as she could.  Our mother loved having her children and grandkids around her right up to the final day.  Our mother was fiercely independent and had an incredible sense of humor, she possessed any elephant figurine she could get her hands on.  She loved to travel and visit anywhere there was a beach or a bingo hall.

 

She is survived by her children Rick (Michelle) Valdiviezo, Carmelita Medina, Melinda Garcia, Joe (Angie) Gil, Robert (Monica) Gil, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Ramirez, her grandson DJ Valdiviezo, her brother Joseph Garcia and her parents.

 

The family would like to personally thank Applegate Homecare and Hospice for the loving, comfort and care given to our mother in her last few days spent with us.

 

A viewing will be held  Friday, August 4, 2023 at Aaron's Mortuary, 964 24th St, Ogden, Utah from 6pm to 8pm.  Arrangements entrusted to Aaron's Mortuary.
