Diane Arva DeRyke Butler passed away November 26, 2014 at Heritage Park in Roy, Utah. She was born September 13, 1935 to Harry M. and Florence Yates DeRyke.
She married Doyle L. Butler on November 21, 1957. She was a member of the LDS Church.
After patiently enduring a long illness, Diane has rejoined her brother, parents and other loved ones. Diane lived a life of service. She served in the Nursery, Primary, and the Relief Society in various wards.
Diane grew up working in her fatherâs bakery â Topper Bakery, attended Weber State College and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN). Diane worked as an RN at various hospitals, long term care facilities, and dialysis centers. She and Doyle raised four children, and recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Diane enjoyed picnics, family gatherings, road trips, the Mystery Theater, religious hymns, easy listening music, parades, warm summer breezes, crisp winter mornings, and a glowing fire in the fireplace. She did embroidery, home canning, cooking, and baking. She sang lullabyâs to help us sleep, fixed our bumps, bruises, cuts and scrapes. Now she is sailing away into the land of her dreams with âLittle Lena and Hansâ. Love you Mom.
