Domie Dean Ballesteros
Domie, age 55, born December 23, 1959 to Rosalina Tadio and Dominador Ballesteros in Lanai City, Hawaii. died March 17, 2015 at 4:47 p.m., after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma proved to be more difficult than any war he fought in.
Since 2002 he has been a loving, devoted husband to Marie Inez Ballesteros (ne: Drouillard); wonderful father to Matthew Tessier, Daniel Lauzon, Leilani Ballesteros and Marie Lauzon.and grandfather to Warren and Phoenix Dawn. He is also survived by his brothers Mark and Dave Ballesteros, their wives and many nieces and nephews.
Domie served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, having served with distinction in the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg. He made many great friends while serving his country and his brothers in arms are also saddened by the loss of a brave warrior.
Domie had been attending Weber State University until the disease rendered him unable to pursue a Masters degree in Psychology and Social Work in order to fulfill his dream to help his brothers in arms deal with the profound effects of war and all that entails.
The family would also like to thank Dr Vincent Hansen and his amazing, caring staff at McKay Dee Hospital Oncology and Hematology. You all made a difficult journey more bearable.
Domie chose cremation and there will be a Celebration of His Life at 1 p.m. on Thursday March 26, 2015 at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
All who knew Domie are welcome to attend and celebrate a life well lived with his family.
