Dorothy J. Frezza âMammaâ 83, of Clearfield, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was born on July 21, 1931, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Walter A. Sr. and Florence M. McVicker McElhaney.
Dorothy was a homemaker and then worked during her adult life as Administrative Assistant at the Ogden Rescue Mission, and then as aide for Page/Weber Human Services.
Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and Mamma to her great grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Janis M. Potter of West Haven; son, John (Audra) Frezza of Avon, Indiana; grandchildren, Alexis (Jeremiah) Baker of Roy, Codie C. Nate of Layton, and Cianna G. McDonald of Avon, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Jenna and Casen Baker of Roy; and brother, Walter âRedâ (Rose) McElhaney of Monaca, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Florence McElhaney; sister, Eleanor DiFrancesca of Hamilton, VA; brothers, Harold âPopâ McElhaney and David J. McElhaney, both of Rochester, Pennsylvania.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Lindquistâs Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden, UT.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions to be made to Children International, PO Box 219055, Kansas City, MO 64121. This was a program that Dorothy contributed to for many years.
The family would like to acknowledge the kindness of the Country Pines Assisted Living staff for taking good care of her for her past eight years, and to Thatcher Brook staff and Hospice for the comfort and kindness provided in her last days.
