Dorothy (Dot, Dottie) Hayes Price
August 5, 2022 I lost my best friend today. Together we loved hunting, fishing,
and boating. My partner and wife of 63 years. She was the best thing that ever
happened to me. We married on August 21,1959. She gave birth to and
together we raised 4 children; Chris (Becky), Jay, Dean and Diane (Tim) Petitt.
Until we meet again honey, I love you. Kirk Price.
DOROTHY (DOT, DOTTIE) HAYES PRICE passed away peacefully at home,
Friday, August 5, 2022 after her 3+ year battle of lung and brain cancer. Her
suffering is over. She born in Farr West UT to Lloyd & Ethel Hayes on October 18, 1943.
She had 11 grandchildren and many greats but some whom she never knew and
Didn’t know her but the few she did, she loved spending every minute with them
and making memories. She was not called Great-Grandma, she was called Big
Grandma.
Through her years, she enjoyed Muzzleloader shooting and was very accurate,
playing in the garden, camping, canning, playing the ukulele, sewing and ceram-
ics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dean, 2 grandsons Daniel and
Steven and sister Donna.
She will be deeply missed. She said Please don’t cry that I’m gone, smile for all
the memories. Most people who knew her LOVED her.
Thank you to all the caring Hospice nurses who took such wonderful care of her
until the end.
She chose to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later time.
