Elaine E Quintana

September 25, 1962 — March 5, 2014

Elaine E. Quintana, 51, of Layton passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 while surrounded by her family. Elaine was born September 25, 1962 to Rosie and Jose Gutierrez and was raised by her grandparents George and Josephine Sanchez. Elaine grew up in Ogden, Utah and later moved to Sunset, Utah where she was a graduate of Clearfield High School. Soon after graduation she met the love of her life Michael Quintana and they were married; together they were blessed with three daughters. Elaine was a member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Elaine, our mom, had the biggest heart and was always the first person to offer her help to anybody that was in need. She had an infectious personality and was such a free spirit.. She loved her family dearly and was always attending various events. No words can describe how much she loved her grandchildren, she was their #1 fan. Elaine loved listening and dancing to Mexican music, watching her Mexican novellas and being around her family and neighbors. Most of all Elaine loved just being around her grandkids; she was an all around amazing woman, and will be missed dearly. Surviving are her 3 daughters Patricia (Scott) Oster, Felina (Eduardo) Barales, and Mika Quintana our dear little sister who never left our moms side, all living in Layton; her 6 grandchildren, Andre, Aaliyah, Alexis, Angelica, Victor and Cristal. Elaine also leaves behind many brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces and lots of good friends. We would like to thank all of our family and friends who were there for our mom during her times in need. Also, thank you for all of the support and prayers, you all hold a special place in our hearts. We would also like to thank the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014, at 10 am at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may call Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm with Rosary starting at 7:30 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah. Interment Clearfield City Cemetery.
