Elda Carol Nord Garner

June 2, 1929 — July 28, 2012

Ogden Resident Elda Carol Nord Garner, 83, passed away July 28, 2012. She was born June 2, 1929 in Vernal, Utah the fourth of five children and only daughter of Arthur G. Nord and Elda L. Morgan Nord. She attended Ogden High School and the University of Utah, Carol served a mission to Sweden for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a lifelong member. She married Bill Dexter Garner in the Mesa, Arizona temple on February 19, 1960.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Forrest Arthur Nord; her husband, and her sons, Adam Nord Garner and David Rial Garner.

She is survived by her brothers, William James Nord, Lewis Vernal Nord, and Dale Malcom Nord; her daughter, Genie Garner Ely, and her grand- and great-grandchildren: Justin and Nikki: Alicia, Sophia and Isabella Garner; Aprilee amd Ivan: Noah, Makylee and Alijah Pena; Kaitlyn Garner; Jasmine Gaarner; Philip and Shandie Ely; Ashley Ely; Charvelle and Nathan: Neveah (Flores) and Ryleigh Sexton; Shaina and Mikel: Mikel, Alex, Chloe and Syrea Castle; Megan and Aaron: Lexie and Mecknzie Arainas; and Cassie Garner. Each she adored and these were the joy of her life. l Carol was an accomplished musician, having played the piano and organ. She prepared many genealogy works for the lineage of the Garner and Nord families.

Carol wishes to thank her friends at Applegate who gave her comfort, especially Bonnie, Valarie, and Peter.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 3rd from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Carol will be interred in Ogden City Cemetery next to her husband
